Blue Fortune is known for is vigor, cold hardiness, and adaptability to grow across much of the US. The powder blue flower spikes are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The aromatic, green foliage has a peppermint-lemon licorice scent when brushed against or crushed. Wonderful summer color for warm, dry regions. Drought tolerant in coastal regions. Use in sunny beds, borders, and patio containers. Both the flowers and leaves are edible and fun to sprinkle into salads. Blooms from midsummer to early fall.
