A taller native with showy blooms--great for the back of the garden. Flowers are "obedient."
Also known as false dragonhead. The Obedient Plant won't roll-over or bark on cue, but it will provide absolutely stunning color to your decorative border. So named because as cut flowers you can push the flower in a different direction from the stem and it will stay in that position - convenient for arrangements. It’s pretty pink-purple blooms appear from August to September and will attract butterflies. Propagates by runners so it will naturalize easily and form exquisite drifts.
