Very sweet and perfect for pies, jams and preserves of all kinds.
These fruits are extremely rare in cultivation. We cannot find another seed source that carries them. They are related to ground cherries, and there is a small fruit inside of each paper husk. One way that they differ from ground cherries is that they have a sticky coating on the fruits like tomatillos do. Their flavor is very sweet and they are perfect for pies, jams and preserves of all kinds. Also great for fresh eating! We are always excited to grow things that are extremely rare or hard to find.
