Hot Ornamental Pepper ‘Filius Blue’ Seeds (Naturally Grown)
Shades of blue are one of the least common color schemes of pepper plants. The Filius Blue, therefore, stands out among ornamental peppers. Each bushy little plant produces a mass of highly ornamental, quite small, round peppers that mature from green to bluish-purple to bright red. The plants are so exotic looking, they work well as decorative specimens in containers or in a floral border. The immature fruits are exceptionally piquant at 30,000 - 50,000 SHU's. They have a great pepper flavor, and are very crunchy with a pretty good bite. As they mature, the fruits become sweeter and milder. Their short growing season makes them a good choice for milder climates. Great for containers. Non-Isolated.
Fun Fact: The Filius Blue hot pepper is the winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
