The pepper has the same great flavor and heat level as a standard jalapeno, but with extremely corked skin.
AKA Potato Jalapeno and Potato Skin Pepper. This rare jalapeno strain has a very unique attribute. The pepper has the same great flavor and heat level as a standard jalapeno, but with extremely corked skin. The rough skin on this Jalapeno is so unique, some people have a hard time believing it is a pepper. Some thought it was a root, and others thought it was a potato. Great for stuffing, drying, and making sauces and salsa! This pepper was discovered by John Fiedler from Bangor, Maine, at a farmers market, and then cultivated and spread by Christopher Phillips of Sterling Heights, MI. Non-Isolated.
