Details
Blue Pizzo is a rare indigo tomato that colors up with dramatic blue to purple shoulders where the sun hits, then finishes ripening with a rich red base for a two-tone harvest that looks painted by hand. Fruits tend to be medium-sized and often show a slightly pointed “pizzo” tip, with firm, meaty flesh and a juicy, sweet-tart flavor that stays bright and snackable. Indeterminate vines are vigorous and productive, typically ripening in roughly 75 to 85 days from transplant, and they reward strong staking with long-season harvests. Grow in full sun for the deepest shoulder color, then enjoy these tomatoes fresh in salads and sandwiches or roasted and simmered into a richly colored sauce.
