Details

The regular-leaf plants of 'Nebraska Wedding' reach about 5 feet tall by the end of the season here on the farm in Michigan and produce beautiful, 4-inch diameter, smooth skinned, apricot-orange fruits that have an excellent, slightly tart flavor. Fruit size ranges from 8-20 ounces each.

Called the "ultimate love apple" in Amy Goldman's colorful story in The Heirloom Tomato. Introduced to SSE in 1983 by member Dorothy Beiswenger. Given to her by Betty Englert, whose ancestors brought this variety to western Nebraska in the late 1800s and was often given to newlywed family members and friends.
