This pepper is an heirloom habanero type from Venezuela.

This pepper is an heirloom habanero type from Venezuela. Often considered a mild habanero without the heat. Aji Dulce has a very unusual flavor. With overtones of smokey black pepper and coriander, these fruits have hints of tropical sweetness and mouthwatering zest. An excellent choice for sofritos, sautéed vegetables, and rice & bean dishes. The thin-walled pendant fruits are 1 x 2 in., tapering at both the stem and blossom end. For a sharper flavor, use the green fruits, and for softer flavors, use them when ripened bright red. This type can be slow to ripen, but worth the wait.
