Black Pearl Pepper is a gorgeous addition to any garden. This is a stunning variety from Mexico and worth growing. Pods start as shiny black pearls and change to spicy red when ripe. This beautiful plant has dark purple, almost black, semi-glossy leaves. The plants are exceptionally heat and drought tolerant, grow really well in a pot to about 20 inches, and are easy to maintain. While these peppers are typically used for ornamental purposes, they are edible and have a surprising heat level and slight salty taste. Non-Isolated.
