1,300,000 SHU. Originating from the United Kingdom, the Death Spiral emerged as a new strain a few years ago and quickly captivated the hot pepper community with its intense heat and distinctive capsaicin oil-rich pods. While still relatively new and subject to some variability, the Death Spiral's flavor ranges from fruity with citrus undertones to floral with extreme heat. This pepper, a variant of the Naga Bubblegum Red cross developed by Terry Smith, features a bumpy spiral ridge pattern, ripening from light green to peach, then orange, and finally red, offering a quick and intense burn that surpasses most Naga types. Non-Isolated.
