150,000-450,000 SHU. Pointy Puma is a rare pepper bred in Italy from Pimenta de Neyde and a habanero-type parent. It grows into a bushy, vigorous plant with purple-green stems and white flowers that look as exotic as it tastes. Pods start deep purple, then develop creamy yellow to ochre tones with dramatic purple blushing and mottling as they finish, often with a squat, broad-shouldered base that tapers to a point. Expect a rich, aromatic habanero-style flavor with sweet, smoky-fruity notes; it is excellent for hot sauce, salsas, and bold marinades where you want fragrance as much as fire. Includes the dark and light yellow variants in this mix.
