1,000,000-1,200,000 SHU. The Mojo Addicted Mutation Pepper (M.A.M.P.), a unique cross between a 7-pot BBG red and an unidentified variety, was developed in Italy by Enrico Lai of Mojo Peppers. Currently, in its F3 generation, it's showcasing fairly stable pods that are smooth, oval-shaped, and range from 1.5 to 2 inches in size. Enrico Lai embarked on this breeding journey in 2014 after acquiring dark foliage and red-ripening BBG seeds from his friend Arne. He attempted a test cross with BBG and Pimenta De Neyde to identify the mysterious cross, but the exact origins remained elusive. Over the years, this endeavor has yielded a wide array of color variations, from dark to green leaf phenotypes, producing peppers of nearly every conceivable color, with and without calyx. This color variant, received in 2017 from Florissa Arroyo, was initially thought to be named "BerryGum," a misconception corrected when it was found to be called "Berry Cream." The project has revealed a diversity in size, shape, shade, and calyx characteristics, even suggesting that a pale yellow, green leaf BBG could be a MAMP variant. Non-Isolated.
