Snapdragons are named because of the flowers’ resemblance to the face of a dragon that opens and closes its mouth when squeezed. This hardy annual produces spikes of pink-orange flower buds that are very striking in the garden. Snapdragons are very pretty in bouquets and bloom well even in cold weather. They will easily reseed if not deadheaded.
