These plants produce a bountiful harvest of cherry sized clusters.
These extraordinary bi-colored tomatoes will be of the most unique varieties you have ever grown. When exposed to sunlight, young fruits develop dark, indigo-purple skin. The responsible pigment, Anthocyanin, naturally occurs in blueberries and is a powerful antioxidant. The fruits are ready to harvest when the skin turns bright rosy red on the bottom and the fruit is soft to the touch. These plants produce a bountiful harvest of cherry sized clusters. The flavor is a perfect balance of sweetness and juiciness. They were developed with traditional selection and breeding techniques at Oregon State University, beginning in the 1960s from crossing cultivated tomatoes and wild species from Chile and the Galapagos Islands.
