Snack them straight from the vine, scatter them over salads, or roast them to concentrate their sweetness into little bursts of sunshine.
Galapagos Island is a wild tomato species from the Galapagos, prized for its tough, coastal grit and its steady clusters of tiny currant to cherry-sized fruits that ripen from yellow to a warm orange glow. Vigorous, shrubby indeterminate plants can sprawl and get tall; they set loads of fruit and often start ripening in about 70 days from transplant. Expect a bright, sweet tomato pop with a tangy edge; pick them a bit riper for the fullest flavor. This variety is noted for handling poor soils and even some salinity better than most tomatoes, making it a fun choice for challenging garden spots. Snack them straight from the vine, scatter them over salads, or roast them to concentrate their sweetness into little bursts of sunshine.
